Home & Interiors
Every detail—from furniture placement and styling to lighting, color, and composition—helps communicate how a space feels and how someone might live in it. Thoughtful art direction creates images that are not only visually compelling but also highlight the design, functionality, and personality of each piece. It brings the brand’s vision to life while making the space feel aspirational, relatable, and inspiring to the customer.
Make it stand out.
Knowing what deserves attention and creating a visual hierarchy that makes the furniture, materials, and design details come alive. When lighting, composition, styling, and color all work together, the image develops a sense of mood and personality. That’s what makes interior photography sing: creating an emotional connection while still letting the space and the product be the hero.
The Why.
The most important creative decisions often happen long before we step onto set. Pre-production is where I build relationships with merchandisers, buyers, and other key partners to understand the product from their perspective—what makes it important, what they want the customer to notice, and ultimately how they want the product to show up in the marketplace.
That understanding becomes the foundation for the creative direction. I can take the product’s story and translate it into decisions around styling, environment, composition, lighting, color, and overall mood. It’s not just about making a beautiful image; it’s about creating a visual story that supports the product and connects with the customer.
The Art Director acts as a bridge between the business and the creative team. The more we understand the why behind a product, the more intentional we can be with the how. That preparation gives the team a clear creative vision while still leaving room for collaboration, discovery, and the unexpected moments that can make an image really stand out.
